How to be more productive working from home by taking more breaks

I've got some good news for you!

If you are struggling working from home at the moment then this little productivity hack may be just what you are looking for.

For the most productive workday, science says take more breaks. 📈 Here's how it works and I'm liking this 😀

The Draugiem Group did a study on the work habits of employees by using an app & came up with some really interesting findings.

1. ☕️ Those that took a break approximately every hour (actually 52 minutes) were more productive.

2. ☕️ The break (ideally 17 minutes) had to be a complete separation from work away from the desk rather than just checking email or social. Ideally getting up and having a walk around, yoga anything but completely away from work.

3. ⏰ The 52-minute work stint had to be focused work 🔎 (no checking social or emails)

4.) ☕️ ☕️ ☕️ Those who took more breaks (more than one every hour were less productive) 📉

I always want to hear the science behind these findings too & there is a neurological reason for this. The human brain naturally works in bursts of high activity that last about an hour, and then it switches to low activity for a while. When that happens, it's in your best interest to take a break to recharge.

Other studies have shown 25 mins work with a 5-minute break & after 2 hours you take a 15-minute break work for increasing productivity too.

Do you think you could make this work for you? How many breaks do take?
