What is Visualization?
Visualization is a powerful technique that helps you reach your goals and live your dreams. It works by getting your mind and body ready for what you want to happen – and, just like exercise, the more you do it, the stronger it becomes.
According to research using brain imagery, visualization works because neurons in our brains, those electrically excitable cells that transmit information, interpret imagery as equivalent to a real-life action. When we visualize an act, the brain generates an impulse that tells our neurons to "perform" the movement.
Just imagine now biting into a lemon. Yes, you can see how powerful the brain is. Even without a lemon in your sight, your mouth is beginning to water and you are anticipating the sourness of the lemon.
Visualization Works!
Visualization is used by 23-time gold medalist Michael Phelps, phenom Katie Ledecky, and business titans like Oprah Winfrey and Sarah Blakely, Emma Raducanu and Novak Djokovic. Even as a young child Djokovic visualized winning Wimbledon and made his own Wimbledon Trophies in his room.
But you don’t have to be an athlete to visualize. Anyone can tap into the power of visualization

There are two types of Visualization
There are two types of visualization, each of which serves a distinct purpose, but for greatest effect, they should be used together. The first method is outcome visualization and involves envisioning yourself achieving your goal. To do this, create a detailed mental image of the desired outcome using all of your senses.
The second type of visualization is process visualization. It involves envisioning each of the actions necessary to achieve the outcome you want. Focus on completing each of the steps you need to achieve your goal, but not on the overall goal itself.
How do you use Visualization to get what you want?
Visualize What Life Will Be Like Once You Achieve Your Goals.
Visualize The Steps You'll Take To Get There.
Picture It All In Vivid Detail.
Create A Vision Board.
Write Down All Your Goals. ...
Set Mini Goals Along The Way.
Let Yourself Zone Out And Daydream.
Practising Visualization is not a one-time thing!
To make visualization work you need to repeat this process regularly and you can do this for anything, big or small. The more you visualize the more likely you are going to reap the rewards. It’s all about making yourself believe that your success is going to happen.
In MY PA there is space for visualization at the beginning of the planner. her you can write or draw your vision. You can even cut out pictures from magazines. Once you have done this you can always keep going back to look. But also make sure you continue to meditate on your future vision. It will keep you believing and hleo your focus and motivation.
Have you used visualization? Has it worked?
